Ground Penetrating Radar
Easy Locator

The Easy Locator breaks many barriers in terms of ground penetrating radar systems on the market today. Very little experience is needed to run the system. With a simple user interface, only a few commands are required for you to begin scanning the ground for utilities at full walking speed.
Easy Locator’s GPR technology complements standard electromagnetic techniques in the field, providing you with a cost effective total solution. It can detect all material types, both metallic and nonmetallic, including plastics, concrete, ceramics, asphalt composite and more. The data obtained in the field provides the user with the exact location of cables, pipes, duct banks, conduits, or depth to bedrock.
With its low cost, Easy Locator is an indispensable tool for utility and construction work at urban and industrial sites, minimising the risks of damage and project delays. The control unit of the Easy Locator supports two antennas for detecting utilities and other buried objects underground at various depths: Shallow and Mid. The system can also be adjusted to different soil types for maximum performance and has a Easy Locator is a Ground Penetrating Radar designed to meet the needs of the utility locate professional.
RAMAC X3M

MALA GeoScience presents a new electronic design for a more compact and user-friendly system. The RAMAC X3M is an integrated radar control unit, fitted directly on the shielded antenna and powered externally.
Compatible with the 100, 250, 500 and 800 MHz RAMAC/GPR shielded antennas, this system is the smallest GPR available. The built- in electronic design makes it a low weight and compact size system, easier to assemble and operate. No fibre optic cable is required since the unit
communicates directly with the laptop.
Based on the flexibility and the modularity of the range of RAMAC/GPR, the RAMAC X3M is fully compatible with RAMAC X3M™ the Windows based acquisition software Ground Vision.
The built-in autostacking function secures best data quality at maximum survey speed. The low power consumption gives you more than ten hours measuring time with standard battery units.
These features will soon make the RAMAC X3M the desired electronic unit for your AMAC/GPR with shielded antenna surveys.

Cable Avoidance Tools & Accessories

LTU is the Approved UK Distributor for SUBSITE cable and pipe locators.
Two years of extensive product development & testing in the UK has resulted in the most sensitive Cable Avoidance Systems available.
Cutting edge US design & technology, means that once you purchase a Subsite system, it will never need to be sent back for the usual, cost & time consuming, annual calibration*.
The Subsite range starts with 250R, developed from the 300 series which is one of America's most popular detection systems & in tests across the UK, the 250R is able to detect smaller & more "difficult to locate" services than the existing market leading products.
The 250T transmitter is one of the smallest yet most powerful in it's class. Measuring just 311mm x 235mm x 114mm means it takes up significantly less space than the traditional "box" type Genny but with a 1 Watt output is up to 10 times more powerful than many of its competitors.
The 900 series adds versatility to your location systems without adding significant cost or weight. The 910R & 950R Receivers are only 2 kg, almost 30% lighter than comparable equipment.
The 910R receiver comes as standard with 4 frequencies of your choice including Power & Radio & a further optional 12 frequencies to ensure compatibility with your existing equipment or the 950 or 970 series transmitters.
A large, backlit LCD is standard on both the 910R & 950R, with depth estimation on active modes and an optional "depth in power" facility to provide the user with a guide to the depth without the need for a transmitter.
Both receivers have single peak, twin peak & "left/right" null antennas as standard. The single peak antenna allows the 900 series receiver to be used with existing "phase to phase" fault location equipment commonly used in the electrical fault location industry.
The "left/right" null antenna is ideal for long distance tracing and it's unique design is significantly more accurate than other "null" systems which often "mis-locate" buried services due to distorted magnetic fields.
The 950R adds a total of 20 available frequencies whilst retaining all the features of the 910R. With it's huge frequency range, you will always find a frequency compatible with your existing transmitter.
The 900 series transmitters are amongst the smallest and lightest available; at only 3.3kg the 950T & 970T are over 20% lighter than comparable transmitters. Both transmitters have five available frequencies which can be applied to buried metallic services via connection, induction or the optional range of signal clamps or optional live plug connector.
The 950T has a 3 watt output and the 970T has a 5 watt output with a staggering 80 hour battery life (continuous use at power level 2) & both transmitters have three induction frequencies. No other transmitter available in the UK can match that performance. The 970T can also measure true voltage, dc resistance & current levels when used in connection mode.
LTU can supply alternative manufacturers’ locators but with the new SUBSITE range, the performance & cost saving advantage, means the SUBSITE choice is obvious.
* Under normal operating conditions, does not include units which may have been damaged.
